Dengue Day Celebrations At Okara University

 


Okara (Newspaper) Various events related to Dengue Day were organized at Okara University which included seminars, rallies and tree planting. 
Member National Assembly from Okara Chaudhry Riaz-ul-Haq Judge, Deputy Commissioner Okara Zahid Pervez Warraich, Chief Executive Officer Health Okara Mehr Akhtar Hussain Baloch, Chairman Institute of Pure and Applied Zoology Prof Dr Muhammad Wajid and Registrar Dr Muhammad Tahir Khan were present on the occasion. Including a large number of teachers and students attended. The seminar was chaired by DC while Riaz-ul-Haq was the chief guest.

In his inaugural address, Dr Tahir Khan thanked all the guests and highlighted the importance of the Dengue Macau Campaign. Prof. Wajid elaborated on the steps being taken by the University to eradicate dengue mosquitoes from the campus and its environs. He explained to the participants various effective ways to prevent dengue during monsoon rains.

In his address, Riaz-ul-Haq expressed happiness over the construction and development of Okara University in a short span of time. He appreciated the efforts made by the university administration and students to eradicate dengue. He said that dengue is as dangerous as corona virus and prevention is very important.

The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the steps taken by the district administration regarding the dengue campaign. He directed the students to take strict precautionary measures to avoid dengue fever.
